A MOST UNUSUAL 25-BORE IN-LINE PERCUSSION SINGLE-BARRELLED SPORTING-GUN, UNSIGNED, serial no. 1236, circa 1880 and probably near eastern, with round tapering 29 1/2in. iron barrel, farsi marked and serial numbered at breech, provision for a centrally mounted nipple to rear (missing), provision for a hinged waterproof cover (also missing), slab-sided iron plated action with cocking lever to the right hand side drawing back an internal straight line hammer, walnut butt-stock with horn heel-plate (worn chequering to both), walnut splinter fore-end (traces of chequering and provision for swivels (removed)
