34in. Greener trademark steel replacement nitro barrels, broad raised tapered file-cut rib with banner engraved 'J.V. NEEDHAM. MAKER. LOVEDAY STREET BIRMINGHAM', 3 1/4in. chambers, bored approx. extra full choke in both, giant treble-grip action with carved percussion fences and side-clips, elongated top strap, Jones patent rotary-underlever, rebounding back-action locks with flat-side dolphin hammers, beaded and scrolling border engraving,the left side of the action marked 'CHARGE 8 TO 10 DRAMS CASE 3 1/2 INCHES', retaining slight traces of original colour-hardening, 14 1/8in. figured pistolgrip stock with engraved steel pistolgrip-cap, sling swivels, comb insert and including 1/2in. rubber recoil pad, fore-end with grip-catch release lever, weight 15lb. 10oz.

Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed in September 1892, for a W.M. Campbell.

The original specifications read "8-bore double back action, rebounding locks, L.O.G. (lever over guard), long top strap, extended rib, lever forepart, clip sides, pistol hand, recoil heelplate, loops for sling, flat rib, 1 leaf folding sight."

Although the gun falls within the serial number range usually associated with 'Paradox' guns, no mention of chokes is made - rifled or otherwise
