dated for 1831, with round iron 9in. barrel, moulded band at breech, solid top-tang, borderline engraved lock with 'TOWER' signature to tail and Crown over 'G.R.' stamp forwards of hammer, walnut full-stock, the top of wrist stamped '5' over '331' together with the date and Board of Ordnance marks, the side cheek stamped 'RC' reversed above a large letter 'T' above '56', brass furniture and captive iron stirrup ramrod
