circa 1890 and appearing professionally converted, with 25in. barrel (traces of 'St Etienne' address, missing fore-sight, rear-sight with losses, tap-loading with external hammer, two-piece walnut half-stock, the butt with applied walnut pistol-grip to the lower tang, the fore-end assumed to be concealing the reservoir, strong amount of finish.
