circa 1795, with octagonal re-browned twist-iron 3 1/4in. barrel, hooked breech, bevel-edged step-tailed lock signed 'D. KILPATRICK, sliding safe behind the hammer (hammer probably replaced), rainproof pan, roller to the frizzen-spring, walnut full-stock, diamond-shaped silver escutcheon to wrist, oval escutcheons to the barrel-key, brass tipped ramrod and iron furniture
