A .750 FLINTLOCK MUSKET FOR THE EAST INDIA COMPANY, MODEL 'INDIA PATTERN BROWN-BESS', serial no. 7/443, WITH MATCHING BAYONET,
circa 1795, with 39in. barrel, the breech stamped with Tower proofs overstamped with East India Company proofs, bead fore-sight, moulded band at breech, solid top-tang, military style lock signed 'TOWER' at the tail and stamped with a G.R. crown device forwards of the hammer, walnut handrail three-quarter stock (currently coated in a preserving shellac), carved apron around the top-tang, brass furniture including heel-plate, the top-spur stamped '7' over '443', iron swivels and later ramrod COMPLETE WITH a period socket bayonet signed 'W ROCK' and marked '7' over '43', the socket engraved 'NOCK 1796', the E.I.C, heart-shaped trademark and 'L.I.' over '29' (some mottled staining to all the exposed iron surfaces on both the bayonet and musket
