AN ITALIAN 17TH CENTURY 'PEAR-STALK' CABASSET HELMET WITH ETCHED DECORATION,
circa 1680, of usual form but with the bowl segmented with etched panels of stylised armour pieces and shields, each with borderlines and rope-twist borders, almost certain replacement brass dome-head lining rivets, the brim with further etching and rolled edge, the interior painted black for preservation (some cracking to brim and one small loss)
