A RARE ARM HARNESS MADE FOR THE REIN,
from a European cavalry buff-coat armour circa 1630, comprising of a moulded iron vambrace with engraved borderline decoration and rolled edge at the the elbow with a ring of iron dome headed rivets retaining a leather band internally (losses and some renewal to leather), the integral gauntlet formed from five articulated lames, the front example further moulded to accept loose finger lames on leather strips and a separate thumb-guard, all with borderline engraved decoration (renewals to leather, some finger lames replaced)
