A DECORATED BREAST-PLATE FROM A PARADE ARMOUR,
probably Italian, circa 1720 with later Victorian enhancement, the heavy gauge plate with substantial rolled seams around the arm holes and neck, the shaped plate decorated with gilded scrolls and further applied scroll decoration, the center of the chest with later armorial, two pistol-shot 'proof' marks and flared skirt, some restoration, the interior painted black for preservation and the exterior varnished
