circa 1868, with octagonal 2 1/2in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'HOPKINS & ALLEN MFG. CO. NORWICH C.T.', radiused muzzle, plain cylinder with front locking notches, radiused iron solid frame, smooth walnut grips and sheathed trigger, the whole stripped of finish in antiquity (some frosting)
