A .650 FLINTLOCK OFFICER'S HOLSTER-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
circa 1800, with round 9in. barrel (lightly pitted externally), London proofs, solid top-tang, flat bevel-edged step-tailed lock signed 'H. W. MORTIMER & CO.', sliding safe behind the hammer, walnut full-stock with smooth bag-shaped butt, engraved 'S' shaped side-plate (fore-end cracked at front side-nail) and horn-tipped wood ramrod, the whole dirty and darkly stained
