A 20-BORE FLINTLOCK HOLSTER-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
circa 1755 with later working re-stock, tapering round iron triple-stepped 10in. barrel with moulded bands at the intersection and breech, London proofs and the top of breech signed 'LONDON' in script (old corrosion, some pitting), engraved solid top-tang, borderline engraved flat lock signed 'BASS' with replacement hammer and unbridled frizzen, working replacement full-stock with slab-sided bag-shaped butt re-using the original brass furniture (trigger-guard tang repaired) and probable replacement horn-tipped ramrod
