28in. nitro chopperlump barrels, the breech ends with fine acanthus scrollwork and gold-inlaid '1' and '2', the ribs engraved 'JOHN DICKSON & SON 21 FREDERICK STREET EDINBURGH', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, Dickson 1887 patent triggerplate actions, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, gold-washed internals, fine acanthus scroll engraving, the makers name engraved in scrolling banners, the triggerplates signed 'J. OUDWEG', No.2 minor chip at knuckle and ejectors require attention, old silver and blued finish overall, 14 3/8in. well-figured stocks, weight 6lb. 10oz.
