A RARE CONTINENTAL RIFLE-TYPE POWDER FLASK WITH HINGED NOZZLE, UNSIGNED,
circa 1845, with pear-shaped laquered copper body, the front deeply embossed with a raised design of hunters in a rocky outcrop stalking a lion beneath palms, laquered brass fireproof top with blued spring, top-hinged adjustable nozzle graduated from 70 to 85 grains in 5 grain increments, four suspension loops to body, much original finish throughout
