A SCARCE GERMAN WORLD WAR TWO 'R.A.D.' LEADERS HEWER,
circa 1939, with narrow 10in. clip-point 'hewer' style blade, the left side etched 'ARBEIT ADELT' (rubbed), the back edge of the blade with blind narrow fuller, aluminium cross-guard with rolled quillions and central 'R.a.d.' device to the front, integral spiral ferrule, two-piece white celluloid grip screwed from the reverse side and carved aluminium 'eagle's head' pommel; COMPLETE WITH its polished aluminium scabbard with knot and corn sheath engraving, the main front panel with pebbled background, the reverse plain, and two squared suspension loops
