A COMPOSED CASED PAIR OF .41 RIMFIRE VEST-PISTOLS, MODEL 'No3 THUER PATENT DERRINGERS', serial no's. 3436 & none visible
circa 1880, both pistols in identical finish with blued 2 1/2in. swing sideways barrels marked on the tops 'COLT', nickel-plated frames and smooth rosewood birdshead grips, both pistols with London proofs and retaining the majority of their finish in all areas; TOGETHER WITH an English market oak case expertly re-lined in red baize, compartmented in the English manner and containing the pistols together with a period oil-bottle and possibly original brass cleaning rod, the lid with later label for 'S. HAMMOND, 2 JEWRY STREET, WINCHESTER'.
