A GOOD 1 1/2in. BREECH-LOADING BRONZE SIGNALLING CANNON, no visible serial number,
circa 1900, with substantial 30 1/2in. plain tapering barrel, the breech area signed 'L. T. SNOW, THE "STRONG" CANNON MFR.' over an American eagle clutching a shield bearing the United States flag over 'NEW HAVEN CONN. USA, flip-open breech held shut with a sprung pin and central mounted sprung firing pin in the cascabel, the whole mounted on the original hardwood (probably teak) trolley (stripped of finish, edges radiused) and fitted with four lignum vitae wheels
