lock dated for 1864, with brushed bright iron 30in. two-groove rifled barrel, boat-shaped fore-sight, rear-sight with one standing and one folding leaf, scarce variant bayonet bar with central locking notch mounted on the right side of muzzle, borderline engraved bar-action brushed bright lock signed 'TOWER' with the date and a 'V.R.' crown device at tail, walnut full-stock with brass furniture including large patchbox in butt, iron stirrup swivels and iron under-barrel ramrod (woodwork with wear and old repairs, light staining to iron surfaces)
