circa 1785, with 14 1/2in. multi-stage octagonal to round triple banded barrel, engraved shell detail at the intersection, the top-flat signed 'T. Richards, LONDON', London proofs, engraved ball-band at breech, sliding catch to the iron top-tang releasing the sprung concave edged triangular iron bayonet, securing loop at muzzle, iron bevel-edged lockplate signed 'RICHARDS' in script (some discolouration), stepped tail, sliding safe behind the hammer, bridled frizzen with roller to spring, walnut full-stock (some hairline drying cracks), engraved brass furniture including complex side-plate, French style trigger-guard and original wood rammer
