circa 1835, with turn-off two-stage rifled 9in. barrel banded at the intersection, bead fore-sight, plain squared action with under-hammer and un-guarded trigger, top-strap stamped 'E. ALLEN GRAFTON MASS' together with 'POCKET RIFLE' and 'CAST STEEL, WARRANTED' (one screw replaced), standing notch rear-sight, walnut chequered grip and long front-strap
