circa 1860, with tapering 6in. octagonal barrel, the left side signed 'ALLEN & WHEELOCK WORCESTER M.S. U.S.' over 'ALLEN'S PAT SEPT 7 NOV 9 1858', dove-tailed blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight to rear of top-strap, plain cylinder, hinged ejector forming the trigger-guard bow, solid frame and smooth walnut grips, faint traces of finish with some surface frosting
