AN EXTREMELY RARE 120-BORE PERCUSSION SIDE-HAMMER REVOLVER, MODEL 'BAILEY'S PATENT', serial no. 130,
manufactured to T. Bailey's Patent 1634 of July 20th 1858, with octagonal 5in. barrel signed 'SWINBURN & SON', two-piece borderline engraved iron frame hinging at the front, plain cylinder revolving on centres as opposed to an arbor, fully encased action with exposed side-hammer, smooth flared one-piece walnut grip and guarded trigger

Other Notes: Examples of Bailey's Patent revolvers are seldom encountered, and indeed this could be the actual revolver referred to by A.W.F Taylerson in his book 'The Revolver 1818-1865, page 327, first edition 1968
