A CASED 50-BORE PERCUSSION NICKEL-FRAMED TRANSITIONAL REVOLVER, serial no. 2189,
patent dated for 1852, with two-stage 5 1/2in. barrel banded at the intersection, bead fore-sight, plain cylinder with three-quarter nipple-shield, border and scroll engraved nickel frame, the right side signed within a scroll engraved panel 'T.K BAKER, LONDON' and under the long-spurred central hammer 'REGISTERED APRIL 24 1852', engraved back-strap and domed pommel, possible replacement smooth wood grips and guarded single-action trigger, complete with a period, probably original to this revolver, stained oak case, compartmented and lined in green baize and containing a nipple-key, bone nipple-pot, bag-shaped flask, mahogany loading rod, cap-tins and a bone handled brush
