circa 1851, with 3 5/8in. sighted octagonal barrel, articulated rammer mounted to the right side of barrel concealing the patent use number '986', plain cylinder with central scroll engraved band, scroll engraved open iron frame, carved and engraved side-hammer, double-action mechanism, finely chequered walnut butt with ebonised and carved pommel and guarded trigger
