circa 1861, with octagonal 6 1/2in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'MANHATTAN FIRE ARMS CO NEWARK N.J.', nickel blade fore-sight, 'Colt' style under-barrel rammer, open iron frame, plain cylinder with roll engraved decoration and ten locking notches, traces of plating to the brass grip-straps and trigger-guard bow, further traces of finish throughout
