circa 1861, with 7 1/2in. octagonal barrel, address details present but rubbed, hinged under-barrel rammer, plain iron one-piece frame, brass trigger-guard and smooth walnut grips (one cracked lengthways and crudely repaired), heel drilled in two places possibly for a shoulder-stock (absent), slight traces of finish in sheltered areas
