A CASED 80-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL 'WEBLEY TYPE', serial no. 6873,
circa 1855, with blued octagonal 4 1/4in. barrel, borderline engraved radiused muzzle and breech, dove-tailed fore-sight, borderline engraved solid frame signed 'T. MURCOTT, 68 HAYMARKET LONDON S.W.', standing notch rear-sight, blued cylinder with numbered chambers and beaded leading edge, double-action trigger-mechanism with spurred hammer, chequered walnut grip, the whole retaining much finish (cylinder re-blued), complete with a period stained oak storage case compartmented and lined in green baize and containing a full complement of accessories including a flask, mould, turn-screw and cleaning rod together with caps and some loose bullets, the inside of lid with 'Murcott' parchment trade label
