circa 1870, possibly a Birmingham manufactured patent infringement, with blued ovoid 4in. barrel, borderline engraved muzzle and crescent fore-sight, borderline engraved solid iron frame and plain blued cylinder with rear external ratchet indexing, spurred hammer, chequered walnut grips, guarded trigger and pivoting 'Tranter-type' ejector mounted to the right hand side of frame, strong traces of original finish and colour
