A .32 (RIMFIRE) ENGRAVED FIVE-SHOT POCKET REVOLVER, MODEL 'RANGER No2', serial no. 62,
circa 1875, with nickel-plated octagonal 2 3/4in. barrel, the top flat marked 'PAT MARCH 28 1871', stylised foliage engraved to the adjacent and side flats, the engraving repeated on the chambers of the fluted cylinder, further foliage engraved to the solid frame, spur trigger, single action mechanism and birdshead chequered gutta-percha grips, losses to finish on cylinder otherwise much plated finish remaining, the deeper parts of the engraving with dark infill
Other Notes: The engraving on this revolver was almost certainly conducted post manufacture in South America
