circa 1880, with tapering rotate-to-load barrel (serial numbered 8214), the sighting flat signed 'COLTS PT FA MFG CO HARTFORD CT USA' and 'No2', nickel crescent fore-sight, iron frame in the white (lightly stained) with central hammer, floral loose scroll engraving and rosewood chequered birdshead grips (small chips at right head) and blued sheath trigger with chequered blade
