circa 1879, with round 6in. barrel signed 'HOPKINS & ALLEN MFG CO. 'PAT MAR 28 1871, APRIL 22 1875', replacement crescent fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, the raised edges marked 'XL NAVY' and '38-100 CAL' respectively, solid frame with hinged side swinging ejector, smooth flared walnut grips and guarded trigger, strong amount of original faded nickel finish remaining
