A 7mm PINFIRE ENGRAVED SIX-SHOT PEPPERBOX-REVOLVER, serial no. 2502,
circa 1870, with blued and fluted 1 7/8in. barrel-group (rifled with a single groove per barrel), the raised sections scroll engraved, moulded open iron frame with scroll engraving and barrel-release wingnut to front, spurless hammer, folding trigger, the trigger body signed by the maker and chequered walnut bag-shaped grips, much original finish throughout
