A .41 (SHORT COLT) FIVE-SHOT SINGLE-ACTION POCKET-REVOLVER, MODEL 'NEW-LINE', serial no. 10050,
for 1879, with blued tapering 2 1/4in. barrel etched on the left hand side 'COLT NEW 41', the top of barrel with two line address, the underside of muzzle marked 'PAT. SEPT. 15 1874, solid iron frame, fluted cylinder with loading gate, smooth rosewood birdshead grips and spur-trigger, much original finish with some patchy but surface corrosion
