A GOOD .577-450 (M/H) SINGLE-SHOT CARBINE, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'MARTINI-HENRY COMMERCIAL CAVALRY CARBINE', no visible serial number,
circa 1885, with blued 21 1/2in. barrel, fore-sight blade with side protectors, elevating ladder rear-sight, crossed flags over 'B' stamped to breech, plain blued slab-sided action, polished dropping feed-ramp, walnut butt-stock, colour hardened heel-plate and finger-lever, walnut three-quarter fore-end with moulded iron nose-cap, iron under-barrel clearing rod and side screws for leather sight protector (absent)
