A SCARCE .41 (SHORT COLT C/F) SINGLE-SHOT DERRINGER-PISTOL, MODEL 'COLT'S No2 DERRINGER', serial no. 8707,
London proved and manufactured between 1870-90, with moulded 2 1/2in. barrel, crescent fore-sight, maker and model details to sighting plane (lightly struck), scroll engraved cast body with barrel release catch, central hammer converted to central fire from rim, spur trigger and chequered rosewood birdshead grips, retaining a strong amount of probable original blued finish
