Belgian, last half of the 19th century, with brass two-stage 6 1/2in. drop-down barrel signed on the top-flat 'E. PARIS, BREVETE', banded trumpet muzzle, partially rifled internally, squared boxlock action with borderline and scroll engraving, offset central hammer, Lefaucheux swing under-lever opening, chequered walnut saw-handled grip and spurred iron trigger-guard, iron surfaces stained
