PALL MALL CORNER', and gold-inlaid '1' and '2', the tubes with 'WHITWORTH'S FLUID PRESSED STEEL' and with acanthus scroll detailing at the breech ends, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in all, wall thicknesses below recommended minimum, No.2 gun with small dent to under rib, Beesley patent actions with carved leaf fences, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, best acanthus scroll and floral bouquet engraving, the lockplates with the makers name in scrolling banners aside a coronet, the undersides with elaborate cartouches inscribed 'BEESLEY'S PATENT', retaining traces of original colour-hardening, 14 3/4in. highly-figured stocks including wooden buttplates, weight 6lb. 11oz., in their brass-cornered oak and leather case with some accessories and with original trade label with 'charges' and 'shooting' details
