A RARE .32 RIMFIRE FIVE-SHOT SINGLE-ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL '1 1/2 TRANSITIONAL', serial no. 28106,
circa 1868, with octagonal 3 1/2in. blued barrel signed by the maker and with patent dates to 1865 (drilled at muzzle and filled), brushed bright unfluted cylinder with lock in the top-strap, exposed hammer, spur trigger, rosewood birdshead grips, the whole retaining the majority of an older, possibly period refinish
Other Notes: Estimates vary as to how many of these revolvers were produced but collectors believe only a number between 650-1500 were manufactured. Falling between serial numbers 27200 & 28800, these revolvers married an old model cylinder and barrel with a new model frame.
