A .38 (RIMFIRE) SINGLE-ACTION POCKET REVOLVER, MODEL 'COLT'S ROUND BARREL CONVERSION WITHOUT EJECTOR', serial no. 3723,
originally 1862 with later conversion to metallic cartridges by the factory, with blued 3 1/2in. barrel, the top signed 'COLT'S PT FA MFG CO.' over 'HARTFORD CT USA', bead fore-sight, colour hardened open iron frame stamped with two lines of patents, stepped cylinder with roll engraved scene, brass grip-straps and smooth walnut one-piece grip, strong amount of original finish (wedge un-numbered)
