dated for 1886, with 32in. blued barrel, block and dove-tailed blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, slab-sided falling ramp receiver with makers stamp and date on the left hand side and the Portuguese crest on the right, under-lever opening, walnut butt-stock and full-length fore-end, two iron barrel-bands, loop-ended clearing rod below barrel, the whole retaining much original finish and fitted with iron sling-swivels
