A DEACTIVATED .577-450 (M/H) SINGLE-SHOT CARBINE SIGNED ENFIELD, MODEL 'MKI CAVALRY CARBINE', no visible serial number, dated for '1879', with 21 1/2in. barrel, blade fore-sight with side protectors, elevating ladder rear-sight retaining its leather cover, slab-sided receiver marked with a crown over 'V.R.' over 'ENFIELD' the date and 'I.C.1', (Drill-Purpose stamps), walnut butt-stock (identification disk present but rusted), full-length walnut fore-end, moulded iron nose-cap with clearing rod, the iron surfaces with surface rust spotting
