AN ORNATE 12-BORE LEFAUCHEUX-PATENT UNDERLEVER HAMMERGUN, serial no. 13048,
circa 1885, 28 1/2in. black powder only reproved damascus twist barrels (in 2025), the rib gold-inlaid 'M. ARENDT. A LIEGE.', the breech end with a gold-inlaid band, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, carved percussion fences, back-action locks with non-rebounding hammers, Lefaucheux patent forward facing underlever, captive fore-end, ornate scrolled triggerguard with front hand rest, the whole engraved with latticework designs with central gold-inlaid points, the locks with central vignettes of hounds flushing fowl and rabbit with gold-inlaid frames, 14 3/8in. figured stock with cheekpiece, sling swivels and steel buttplate, weight 6lb. 14oz.
