circa 1890, with 4 1/2in. two-stage taper barrel, integral blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, 'church-window' fluted cylinder, solid frame marked 'V.C.S * C.G.H. SUHL', side safety and officer grade chequered walnut grips (grips refinished, lanyard ring boss removed), the front strap marked 'B.5.R. A.3.43', original issue markings to backstrap struck through, traces of original finish to metalwork
