probably French or Belgian circa 1880, with twist and pull operating breech to the 29 1/2in. cane-covered barrel, brass collar at the intersection, horn angled walking stick handle moulded in the imitation of blackthorn, aperture for button trigger (missing, age-cracks to horn), 34 1/4in. overall, missing ferrule
