AN 80-BORE PERCUSSION PEPPERBOX REVOLVER SIGNED 'J.R. COOPER'S PATENT', no visible serial number,
circa 1840, with fully fluted 3in. barrel group, rear-facing nipples (some damaged), scroll engraved rounded action signed on the left hand side, ring trigger drawing back the under-hammer, sliding safe to the top-strap (strong colour to safe) and smooth walnut bag-shaped grips with scroll engraved iron back-strap, traces of further finish in sheltered areas
