for 1852, with 7 1/2in. octagonal barrel signed 'ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW YORK CITY', pointed bead fore-sight, plain cylinder scrubbed of scene, open iron frame marked 'COLTS PATENT', brass grip-straps and trigger-guard, smooth walnut grips, all matching numbers, finish worn, in a later wood case lined in brown velvet and containing a turn-screw, cap-tin and iron 'Colt' double cavity bullet mould
