circa 1845, with 3 3/4in. octagonal barrel signed on the underside, engraved band and bead fore-sight at muzzle, plunge rammer mounted below the barrel, wedge barrel fastener, fully fluted cylinder with engraved band to leading edge, border and scroll engraved rounded action with sighting aperture to the central bar-hammer, guarded trigger and chequered walnut grips with trap for caps in the heel, cleaned of finish
