M5892, 28in. nitro reproved damascus barrels, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, wall thicknesses below recommended minimum, John Thomas patent action, patent no. 324 of February 4th 1870, use no. 304, carved percussion fences, rebounding locks, border and acanthus scroll engraving, with vignettes of hound on point, bright finish, 14 1/8in. figured stock with engraved steel heel and toe plates, weight 6lb., in its brass-cornered leather case (poor condition)
