BIRMINGHAM.' and 'PATENT' toward the breech, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. in both, Anson & Deeley patent treble-grip action, use number 5469, incorporating William Powell patent extended rear lump and large crossbolt grip, patent no. 493 of 1876, use number 553, toplever with cutout (to access screw in top-strap), border and acanthus scroll engraving, brushed finish, 15in. stock (cast for a left-hander) including 1in. rubber recoil pad, weight 6lb. 1oz.
