EX SMALL ARMS SCHOOL COLLECTION
A RARE 18-BORE FLINTLOCK HOLSTER-PISTOL SIGNED TOWER, no visible serial number,
collection reference 1286, possibly George II in period with two-stage 14 1/2in. iron barrel banded at the intersection (brushed bright, some pitting at breech), traces of a maker's stamp to left side of breech, solid squared top-tang, borderline engraved radiused lock signed tower on the pointed tail and with a 'G.R.' crown device below pan, brass furniture including long side-spurred butt-cap engraved with borders, reversed crescent moons and stars (possibly added later), the other furniture pieces with similar borders and a further reversed crescent moon repeated to the trigger-guard bow, equipped with a later turned iron ramrod
